Medical Affairs at Azurity Pharmaceuticals, a privately held
company delivering innovative medicines for overlooked patients
across 50 countries, drives scientific and clinical initiatives
with a portfolio of 30 brands spanning 10 dosage forms and 9
therapeutic areas. The CNS Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL)/MSL
is a US-based field position within the Medical Affairs Department,
reporting to the MSL US Lead. This MSL will cover the West region
of the US. MSLs are the primary communicators of Azurity
Pharmaceuticals within a specific geography with healthcare
professionals and population-based decision makers. MSLs are the
field scientific experts within Cardiometabolic/Endocrinology/Renal
and treatment options within this therapeutic area. Principle
Responsibilities: Serve as the primary field-based scientific
liaison and point of contact for Medical Affairs, engaging
appropriately with national and regional thought leaders and
healthcare professionals across academic and community settings.
Identify, establish, and maintain scientific relationships with Key
Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the assigned territory to support
scientific exchange, clinical strategy, and educational
initiatives. In an accurate, fair, and balanced manner, exchange
up?to?date scientific, clinical, and therapeutic information with
external stakeholders, enabling informed discussions on disease
states, clinical data, compounds, and treatment landscapes.
Collect, interpret, and communicate actionable field
insights—including competitive intelligence, clinical trends,
treatment patterns, and investigator perspectives—to internal
stakeholders to inform strategy and decision?making. Provide
scientific support for company-sponsored and investigator-initiated
trials, including site identification, feasibility, initiation,
patient accrual discussions, and ongoing communication with
investigators and research staff. Support education related to AE
management where appropriate. Respond to unsolicited request for
Medical Information associated with supported products and disease
state area. Represent the company at scientific congresses,
symposia, advisory boards, and investigator meetings, providing
session summaries, gathering insights, and delivering
recommendations to internal teams. Assist in the planning,
execution, and facilitation of advisory boards, consultant
meetings, and other scientific engagements, ensuring productive
scientific dialogue and alignment with Medical Affairs objectives.
Deliver high-quality scientific presentations and educational
sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings, for healthcare
providers in academic and community environments. Collaborate
effectively with cross-functional partners, including colleagues in
Clinical Development, Operations, Commercial (within guidelines),
and strategic alliance partners, serving as a scientific resource
across the organization. Maintain deep therapeutic, clinical, and
product knowledge, including disease states, emerging data,
competitive products, and relevant scientific literature, to
support credible and collegial scientific exchange. Support
internal scientific training and assist in the development of
field-based resources, training materials, and special projects
that enhance Medical Affairs capabilities. Manage the assigned
territory with a high level of organization, communication,
judgment, and professionalism, contributing to the success of the
broader MSL team and Medical Affairs organization. Apply all
Medical Affairs SOPs, regulatory, legal, and compliance guidelines
while executing field activities and scientific interactions.
Demonstrate adaptability, focus, and composure in uncertain or
fast-paced settings while operating with minimal direction. Travel:
Up to 60% travel is required to attend medical conferences, engage
with KOLs, and support field-based activities within the US.
Qualifications and Education Requirements Education : Advanced
terminal degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO) OR other advanced medical
degree (NP, PA, etc.) w/ 2 years relevant therapeutic area clinical
experience is required. Experience : 5 years relevant work
experience (clinical, fellowship, or research experience) and/or
related pharmaceutical industry work experience is required. Skills
: Thorough knowledge or experience in
Cardiometabolic/Endocrinology/Renal is highly preferred Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for
excellence Demonstrated ability to present effective and
influential oral presentations Self-motivated with strategic
thinking and strong geographical management skills Deep scientific
expertise - stays abreast of data, treatment trends, and new
information in the profession and ability to articulate therapeutic
knowledge and translate expert feedback into appropriate insights
Adept at developing relationships and building networks Ability to
work effectively in a time and independently Excellent
organizational skills and decision-making abilities. Skillfully
plans, prioritizes, and executes multiple responsibilities and
projects. Knowledge of relevant healthcare systems, the evolving
medical landscape, regulatory and payer environment, public health
and industry trends. Proficiency in digital tools. Travel
frequently up to 60%, including occasional weekends. Ability to fly
or drive to various meetings Candidate must reside within the
territory or within a 30 min commute from the nearest territory
border focusing on both community and academic sites LI-Remote
