Job Description:

We're seeking an energetic, motivated, self-starting sales manager for our Corporate group and business transient market segment.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Develop a selling/marketing strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel/market trends and creating selling strategies to capture the maximum amount of revenue from the transient and group markets .

Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts (outside sales calls, prospecting, telemarketing, mailings, referrals, networking, etc.) to maximize room revenue and meet/exceed goals as they relate to the Corporate Group, Local Negotiated and Consortia market segments.

Develop and continually enhance relationships with local corporate contacts, global sales partners and national agency contacts to increase market share. Participate in trade shows and community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility of the hotel.

Maintain accurate, legible records and files to provide history and ensure future and current quality service and enhance future prospects.

Notify/coordinate customer specifications with other departments and quickly, efficiently respond to customer issues, comments and problems to insure quality experience and enhance future sales bookings.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have both group and business travel sales experience and a proven track record.
College education required or equivalent experience

1-2 years direct sales position on-property with emphasis in transient sales; experience a plus

Excellent listening and negotiation skills

Ability to organize time effectively and keep accurate files for each account

Excellent internal and external communication skills -telephone, in-person along with oral and written presentation skills.

As Sales Manager, you will

--- Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat clients using multiple channels, such as social media, outside calls, and telemarketing.
--- Understand the client's vision and effectively convey the specifications to appropriate departments, rapidly responding to inquiries, concerns, and issues, ensuring an exceptional client experience and seeding future sales.
