ABOUT YOUR ROLEThe successful candidate will ensure that equipment is functioning and operating at top efficiency and quality. This position is a technical role, responsibilities to include equipment start-ups, monitoring / adjusting machine parameters, assisting in changeovers and handling process and equipment issues. We are looking for candidates aspiring to develop skills in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and corrective action. This role will need to be continually learning and absorbing knowledge from established/senior process technicians and applying what they learn.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:Activities may include, but are not limited to:* Start up, shut down, and restart machines per production schedule* Adjust injection & extrusion molding machine processes for minor defects (i.e shorts, flash and etc)* Document and monitor critical process parameters* Identify, diagnose and troubleshoot process-related problems to maintain desired efficiency levels* Escalate appropriate information to Senior Process Technicians and their shift's Team Leader as needed* Assist in changeovers of machines (mold and material)* Adhere to quality (TS16949) standards and safety standards* Consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing equipment* Perform general housekeeping within the department/group and assist other areas as required* Back up other areas of the production floor (Material Handling, Inspecting and Packing) as needed* High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.* A preferred candidate will have additional targeted technical education in plastics materials or in manufacturing machine processing* Problem-solving and analytical skills are a plus.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status or other protected status.
