Commercial Alignment & Service TechnicianThis position is a blended role consisting of primarily of performing alignments on heavy trucks, but will routinely perform tire chances and service on commercial, passenger and light truck vehicles. Tool allowance and paid company training will be offered to qualified candidates.Licenses & CertificationsValid driver's license requiredValid class B commercial driver's license preferredMinimum Education & Experience:High School Diploma or Equivalent preferredGraduate from a technical or automotive school highly preferredMinimum of 3 years' of alignment or automotive experience preferredRequired Skills:Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsBasic mathematical skillsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral or diagram formComputer skills: Basic computer skills; training will be provided as neededEquipment: Capable of operating lift gates, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, air guns, air gauges, mounting and balancing machines, and computer and office equipmentAbility to operate vehicles with manual transmission Physical Demands:Exerts 50 to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequently reaches (extending hands and arms in any direction), handles (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or working with hands), and identifies and distinguishes colors. Occasionally climbs (ascends or descends ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like), balances. Occasionally stoops (bending the body downward and forward by bending at the waist, legs and spine), and kneels (bending the legs at knee to come to rest on knee or knees).Essential Functions:Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, and other equipmentPerforms diagnostics to identify source of trouble and makes necessary repairs to correct the issueEnsures proper and accurate documentation of all maintenance performedFollow policy and workflow proceduresPerforming commercial, passenger and light truck changes as neededStatement of Other DutiesThis document describes the major duties and responsibilities for this job and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions.
