Job DescriptionAssist assembly team to support ARC's mission by producing defect free products that exceeds our customer's expectations in quality, delivery, and cost, leveraging lean six sigma practices. Assemble, modify, rework and repair cables, wire harnesses, electronic and mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. Willperform work using assembly drawings, shop aids and detailed work instructions. Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches and be able to follow written and verbal work instructions. Must be able to set up and operate typical production tools and equipment such as ovens, wire cuttingmachines, wire stripper, wire crimper and component forming tools and equipment.Critical Responsibilities

  • Execute or outperform build schedule which is critical path to project shipment or integration
    • METRIC: Greater than 90% on-time delivery OTD in WIP execution
    • Production Yield
      • METRIC: Greater than 98% (Responsibilities· Assemble electro-mechanical and/or electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering and/or production documentation.· Assemble and connect wire harnesses· Torque and document hardware per specification· Crimp terminals to wire cables· Collaborate with electrical engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.· Draw or modify diagrams to clarify fabrication detailsSkills· Effective interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills and abilities· Motivated individual, fast learner, and capable of working independently· Must have aptitude to become solder certified to J-STD-001· Certification in IPC/WHAA-A-620· Certification in IPC/-A-610 a plus· Must have knowledge of prototype, assembly drawings and blueprint reading.· Use of basic machine shop equipment including, but not limited to a vice, drill press, and torque wrenches is highly desirable· Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.· Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriateEducation/Training
        • Requires high school/trade school or equivalent.Experience
          • Three years of electrical and electro-mechanical assembly experience. IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHAA-A-620 certification is a strong plus.
