In this Inspection III role you will perform In-Process and Final
Inspection operations on microwave modules. You will receive
intense training to become a certified inspector utilizing
MIL-STD-883 criteria to inspect microwave modules. You will support
and work closely with the Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS)
operations team while inspecting moderate to complex assemblies and
subassemblies to ensure compliance to applicable quality
specifications and standards.
Performs In-process and Final inspection operations on RF microwave
modules utilizing a microscope for the majority of the work day.
Microwave elements include MMICs, resistors, diodes, caps,
substrates and all bonding types (gold wire and ribbon), which are
inspected in accordance with MIL-STD-883. You may be required to
operate an automated optical inspection (AOI) machine. You will
provides shift-to-shift communications to peers and supervision to
support an efficient value stream.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific
position requires US citizenship status.
This role will be performed
full-time onsite
because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or
the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of
this particular job. This means work will be conducted on location
at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.Required Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Two plus years relevant experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to read, understand, and follow process instructions,
customer drawings, and other related documents
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate and able to navigate production related
software
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience using a microscope utilizing low and high power
magnifications
- Ability to sit at an inspection workbench and utilize a
microscope for the majority of the work day
- Ability to focus on tasking while paying attention to
detail
- Experience working as an inspector or within Quality
Control
- Ability to work under general supervision.
- High School Degree or GED equivalePreferred Education,

- Experience with microelectronics manufacturing
- Experience working as an inspector or within Quality
Control
- Familiarity with MIL-STDs including MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750
and MIL-PRF-38534
- Experience using a microscope utilizing low and high power
magnifications utilizing camera and lighting
- Experience working in a clean room
- Experience working within ESD and FOD controlled
environments
- Experience using manufacturing computer applications (like
TipQA, Solumina, Oracle) to track hardware and capture
non-conformances.
