Job Description:
TransForce, a premier provider of CDL staffing and compliance
services, is looking for a diligent CDL A Yard Jockey and Shuttle
Driver in our Transportation & Logistics department. This position
demands precision and adherence to safety regulations to ensure
smooth operations within our yard and shuttle service routes. The
successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle handling, load
management, and timely deliveries, while prioritizing safety and
maintaining compliance with all company and regulatory policies.
Operate yard trucks to manage the arrangement of trailers from
parking docks to loading areas and vice versa. Conduct pre-trip and
post-trip inspections to ensure the maintenance and safety of the
vehicle. Shuttle trailers to offsite locations or between docks as
required. Monitor and report any maintenance or performance issues
with the vehicles. Ensure compliance with all federal and state
truck driving rules and regulations. Maintain logs of vehicle
movement and loads for operational and compliance purposes.
Proficient in operating commercial heavy vehicles. Strong
understanding of DOT regulations and safety compliance. Ability to
communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
Capable of handling physical workload associated with connecting
and disconnecting trailers. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL-A). Clean driving record.
