our mission. Solutions Engineer, I Benefits of this position:
Advocate proven technology that produces measurable customer
results and is continually being expanded with innovative, new
products. Work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment as a
trusted advisor for our direct and indirect/partner sales,
marketing, and product teams. No quotas or cold calling, support
technical sales Provided tools and training to elevate your
performance and be an industry and product specialist/subject
matter expert. Exposure to innovative software through webinars,
tradeshows, product releases and more as a SmartBear technology
thought leader. As a Solutions Engineer you will: Serve as a
trusted technical advisor to partners, prospects, and customers.
Lead technical discovery conversations to understand business and
technical requirements. Deliver tailored product demonstrations and
technical presentations aligned to customer use cases. Design and
guide proofs of concept (POCs), evaluations, and technical
validations. Partner with Sales to develop technical win strategies
and address technical objections. Help partners qualify
opportunities and map SmartBear solutions to customer needs.
Contribute to functional and technical responses for RFIs/RFPs.
Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, and Customer
Success to support partner and customer success. Convey product
feedback, field insights, and feature requests to internal teams.
Support partner enablement through training, webinars, and
technical resources. Comfortable working with software resellers,
partners, or third-party stakeholders. Strong presentation,
storytelling, and whiteboarding skills. Ability to communicate
complex technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical
audiences. Represent SmartBear at industry events and partner
engagements (approximately 5% travel). We are looking for you if
you have: 2 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Sales
Engineer, or customer-facing technical role. Experience presenting
or explaining technical concepts to varied audiences. Experience
working with customers, partners, or internal stakeholders to solve
technical challenges. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and
articulate their value. Technical Background Familiarity with UI
and API test automation concepts and tools. Working knowledge of
modern automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright). Basic
understanding of CI/CD workflows and Git-based development
practices. Experience working with APIs programmatically using
JavaScript or Python. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure,
etc.). Understanding of networking fundamentals or security best
practices. Experience supporting technical evaluations or pre-sales

total rewards compensation package includes base salary and may
also include a commission. The Annual Cash Compensation (Base
On-Target Commission) range for this role is listed below . Actual
compensation is determined based on several factors, including
relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic
location. Estimated Annual Cash Compensation (Base On-Target
Commission): $105,000 - $120,000 USD
