Job Description:
Fidelity Investments, a renowned leader in financial services,
seeks an innovative and experienced Principal Data Engineer to
advance our data capabilities in our Boston, MA headquarters. As a
key part of our IT and Data Management team, you will lead the
design, implementation, and management of our data architecture to
support asset management strategies. Your role will be pivotal in
enabling us to deliver data-driven insights to enhance customer
experiences and optimize business processes. Design and implement
robust, scalable data architectures and pipelines. Develop and
enforce data governance and quality standards across the
organization. Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate
new technologies and ensure consistency and accessibility of data.
Provide mentorship and leadership to the data engineering team.
Monitor industry trends and maintain knowledge of new technologies
to drive continuous improvement in data strategies. Expertise in
data modeling, warehousing, and handling large datasets.
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, Python, Java, or Scala.
Strong experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
Ability to manage cloud-based and on-premises data technologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
