Job SummaryThe Employee Experience (EX) team is searching for a
Provider Software Trainer for Saint Joseph's Hospital located in
Nashua, NH!The Provider Software Trainer is responsible for
providing training and support to Provider-level users of Covenant
Health's EMR. This includes supporting training needs for EMR
upgrades as well as strategic training initiatives. This position
collaborates with ITS and Informatics for organizational
development programs and continuous learning opportunities for
end-user staff as initiated through the Center of Excellence.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining training materials,
assisting with LMS assignments, and oversees the completion of
training for EMR access. The Provider Software Trainer will also
host non-EMR software training as neededThis position offers travel
to other Covenant Health locations on a consistent basis for
training and meeting purposes.Essential Duties and
ResponsibilitiesTraining Coordination
- Understands training requirements per role and coordinates with
operations management to schedule provider training sessions,
includes maintaining the training calendar on multiple
platforms
- Manages training notification process, including user
re-training, and system tickets related to training
- Ensures training needs for medical students and locums with
operations managementTraining
- Conducts training, remotely and in classrooms, for specific
application areas for Provider-level end users in the Acute and
Ambulatory settings
- Delivers competency and system proficiency assessments
- Hosts customized and retraining sessions as neededTraining
Support
- Performs regular weekly rounding, training support as
requested, and onsite follow up support for new hires
- Provides at-the-elbow (ATE) support for system customization
post orientation training and as requested
- Offers help for preparation of host-vendor credentialing
- Identifies system deficits and issues related to training goals
and escalates feedback to appropriate IT teams
- Responsible for provider enrollment in other software programs
as required by user roleSoftware Access Management
- Provides appropriate access once training requirements are
complete
- Submits ITS tickets to escalate security access changes as
needed
- Partners with vendor for account builds and changesContribution
to Training Initiatives
- Participates in the design, development, and deployment of new
curriculum in alignment with project plans
- Seeks feedback on training initiatives from operations
management and learner participants
- Identifies improvement strategies and assists with process
improvement initiatives for system training design and
implementationCurriculum Management
- Uses Covenant Health and host-vendor training materials for
training delivery
- Assists in developing detailed curriculum content and maintains
module-specific scenario based system exercisesLearning Management
System (LMS)
- Record hosting training sessions and maintain training
completion training records
- Partners with LMS Administrator to management eLearnings,
update assigned learning requirements, and system upgrades as
needed
- Produce and analyze LMS system training reportsEMR Upgrade
Support
- Attend remote host-vendor sessions upgrade preview per
module
- Host training for system upgrades
- Perform unit rounding for system upgrade supportRequired
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Experience developing and conducting training in an adult
education environment
- Experience with EMR or enterprise software implementations;
specifically with the training of staff
- Collaboration skills to partner with colleagues and
vendors
- Proven proficiency with EMR, remote learning tools, LMS, access
verification tools, and curriculum development
- Strong presentation skills and an ability to adapt training
style based on end user population
- Computer savvy, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email,
