Psychiatric Tech Location: Lawrence, MA Agency: Lancesoft Inc. Pay: $1,400 to $1,600 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Details – Mental Health Counselor (Psychiatric) Location: 12 Methuen Street, Lawrence, MA 01840 Start Date: April 27, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks (Possible extension) Shift: Day shift, 8-hour (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) Hours/Week: 32 guaranteed On Call: None Weekend Coverage: Rotating schedule (Week 1: Sun/Tues/Wed/Fri; Week 2: Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat) Role Overview: Provide direct and indirect patient care in a Crisis Stabilization Unit . Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes recovery and treatment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (RNs, psychiatrists, therapists, case managers). Responsibilities include: Assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers. Monitoring patient safety and valuables during intake. Conducting one-on-one client contact, family conferences, and care coordination. Supporting crisis prevention planning and discharge planning. Leading or co-leading psycho-educational groups. Documenting patient symptoms, reactions, and safety status. Assisting with milieu safety, meal prep, and light housekeeping. Requirements Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field required. Experience: 3 years preferred; leadership experience a plus. Certifications: BLS required. Other: Must demonstrate positive demeanor, adaptability, and strong communication skills. Must be in good standing with BILH if previously employed. HWL coversheet required at submission. Local candidates preferred.
