Albany Medical Center seeks a dedicated Clinical Nurse III to join our D2N Cardiopulmonary Surgery & Vascular ICU team. This position entails providing advanced nursing care for patients undergoing cardiopulmonary surgeries and treatment in a dynamic and challenging ICU environment. As a Clinical Nurse III, you will play a critical role in enhancing patient outcomes through exceptional clinical practices, research-based treatments, and a compassionate approach. Provide advanced nursing care for patients undergoing cardiopulmonary and vascular procedures. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement patient-specific treatment plans. Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust interventions as necessary. Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care and health management. Participate in research and professional development activities to remain at the forefront of nursing practices. Expertise in cardiopulmonary and vascular care Proficiency in using medical software for patient management Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
