Job Description: North Country Healthcare is seeking a full-time General Neurologist to join our dynamic team at Androscoggin Valley Hospital, and outreach sites, in our outpatient specialty clinics. This role provides comprehensive outpatient neurologic evaluation, diagnosis, and management for adolescents (age 16) and adult patients with a wide range of neurologic conditions. Key Responsibilities - Diagnose and manage conditions that may include: - Migraine and chronic headache disorders - Memory loss and cognitive impairment - Essential tremor and movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease - Dizziness and balance disorders - Epilepsy and seizure disorders - Multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating conditions - Peripheral neuropathy and neuromuscular conditions - Deliver care for both new and established patients in an outpatient-focused setting. - Manage medications and treatment plans in accordance with current neurologic best practices. - Order and interpret diagnostic testing, with convenient access to on-site imaging and ancillary services. - Provide patient and family education, counseling, and long-term disease management support. - Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care, cardiology, orthopedics, pain management, pulmonology, sleep medicine, and therapy services to ensure coordinated, whole-person care. - Interpret EEG studies (highly preferred). - Perform and interpret NCS/EMG studies (highly preferred). - Perform Botox injections for chronic migraine and other neurologic indications (highly preferred) Benefits: - $365,000 base salary (1.0 FTE) - wRVU productivity potential - Commencement bonus - Good Citizenship bonus – up to $15,000 annually - Relocation Reimbursement - Student Loan Repayment - 5 weeks of vacation, 1 week of sick time - 2 weeks CME time and up to $4,500 CME funds - NO CALL! - No weekend or Holiday shifts - Attractive benefit package - Retirement plans - Malpractice insurance with tail Essential Qualifications: - Graduate from an accredited Medical College with a Medical Degree - Successful completion of a ACGME Neurology residency program - ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association required.
