Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Portsmouth, NH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,249 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: - BLS - ASLS Must-Have: - Proficiency in telemetry - Advanced skills in thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis, tracheostomy care, pacemakers, cardiac catheterization, CIWA Description: The unit provides cardiac step-down care from intensive care. It specializes in medical/surgical telemetry and stroke overflow. Patients post-cardiac catheterization are not accepted unless a radial artery was used. Common conditions include chest pain, congestive heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The staff manages chest tubes and uses high-flow oxygen and BiPAP. Thoracentesis and peritoneal dialysis procedures are performed. The unit consists of 20 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1. Staffing includes 4 registered nurses, a clinical nurse coordinator, 2 nursing assistants, and a unit clerk. Equipment utilized includes IV pumps, SARAs, high-flow devices, BiPAP, and Kangaroo pumps. Documentation is completed using the Meditech Expanse system. Scheduling includes three 12-hour shifts every other weekend or a four-week shift rotation. Patient experience requirements include bedside shift rounds and handoffs. The unit is a certified STEMI hospital and a Level II Trauma center.
