active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Physical
Therapist position is available to support a 4th grade student in
an elementary school setting located in Cambridge, MA. This
contract role offers an opportunity to work closely with one
student to achieve targeted physical therapy goals through weekly
sessions. Location: Cambridge, MA Position Type: Contract (CSY)
Schedule: 1 hour per week, flexible between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM
Student Details: Age: 9 years old Grade: 4th grade Key
Responsibilities: Implement individualized physical therapy
sessions aimed at maintaining a reciprocal stair pattern during
multitasking without verbal cues. Support endurance improvement
through walking exercises, targeting at least 480 meters on the
6-Minute Walk Test. Facilitate balance training by guiding the
student through modified tandem walks for 15 feet, achieving
success in 3 out of 4 trials. Enhance strength and balance with
jumping activities involving two-foot takeoffs and landings
covering more than 3 feet. Monitor student progress, adjusting
therapy techniques as necessary to meet outlined goals. Collaborate
with educational staff to integrate therapy objectives within the
school environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed
Physical Therapist with experience in pediatric and school-based
therapy. Strong skills in designing and implementing individualized
treatment plans. Ability to work independently and flexibly within
the school schedule. Familiarity with endurance, balance, and
strength activities for children is preferred. Benefits:
