Job Description Job Description Pay: $220,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year Job description: Adult Care Physician | Full-Time Location: New Bedford, MA Compensation: $220,000 - $250,000 annually NHSC Loan Repayment Program eligible - get up to $100k! Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week) | Monday-Friday Position Overview Join our team at a great non-profit clinic setting. Provide fast-paced medical care including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education to diverse communities. Requirements Licensure & Certification: MD or DO degree with active/current Massachusetts medical license Board Certification BLS/ACLS certification required (must maintain) DEA license required Experience: 1-3 years physician experience in adult care setting or community health Experience treating acute injuries and illnesses Proficiency in minor procedures (suturing, splinting, abscess drainage) Fast-paced clinical environment experience valued Skills: Epic EMR or electronic health records experience Bilingual Spanish/Portuguese preferred (not required) Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities Patient education and communication skills Key Responsibilities Clinical Care: Comprehensive patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning Triage and prioritize patient needs appropriately Manage emergency situations with clinical competence Perform minor procedures: suturing, splinting, abscess I&D, joint injections Order and interpret diagnostics: X-rays, labs, EKGs Prescribe medications and develop treatment protocols Patient Management: Evaluate urgent care conditions and determine appropriate level of care Develop comprehensive care plans with follow-up recommendations Provide patient/family education on diagnosis and treatment Coordinate referrals to specialists when indicated Serve as patient advocate ensuring quality care Documentation & Operations: Document thoroughly in electronic health record (Epic preferred) Review and interpret laboratory and imaging results Collaborate with nursing and medical assistant staff Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to care team Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices Ideal Candidate Empathetic listener who identifies patient needs holistically Problem-solver who thrives under pressure Patient champion advocating for accessible, quality care Team leader collaborating effectively with nursing and support staff Organized multitasker managing high patient volumes Tech-savvy with EMR proficiency Benefits Package Work-Life Balance: Full-time schedule with rotating weekend coverage Weather closure policy Generous PTO: 23 days 12 paid holidays Paid CME time off Competitive Compensation: $220,000-$250,000 annual salary Weekend differential pay Malpractice insurance coverage CME allowance Outstanding benefits package including health, dental, vision Retirement plan with employer contribution Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Loan assistance Loan repayment program Work Location: In person
