Health summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) role in Interventional

patient-centered care to thousands each year. About the Job: As a
Registered Nurse in the Radiology and Interventional Radiology
Department, you will assess, implement, and evaluate outcomes of
nursing care for individual patients or groups. You’ll coordinate
all aspects of nursing care and provide technical expertise on
radiology procedures to the interdisciplinary team. This role
involves monitoring vital signs, performing hemodynamic monitoring,
detecting arrhythmias, and administering IV pharmacological
therapies. You’ll start IVs, draw blood, verify medication orders,
and provide advanced cardiac life support. Communication with
patients and families will be open, positive, and therapeutic, and
you’ll document care accurately and timely. You’ll lead and
collaborate with colleagues to achieve the best outcomes, respond
effectively during emergencies, and contribute to process
improvement and safety initiatives. This position requires
proficiency in computer systems, adherence to HIPAA regulations,
and a commitment to patient safety and comfort. What You’ll Do: •
Assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing
process • Plan care with patients and families, incorporating
discharge education • Implement evidence-based and culturally
appropriate interventions • Provide technical expertise during
interventional radiology procedures • Monitor oximetry, perform
hemodynamic monitoring, and detect arrhythmias • Administer IV
therapies and advanced cardiac life support • Start IVs, draw
blood, and verify medication orders • Communicate therapeutically
with patients and families • Document patient condition and
response to care accurately and timely • Ensure safe handoffs and
effective use of computer resources • Incorporate
relationship-based care and comfort strategies • Respond
effectively during emergencies or crises • Adhere to ANA and
specialty nursing codes of ethics • Serve as a preceptor when
applicable • Participate in process improvement and safety
initiatives • Respect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
regulations • Use patient safety equipment effectively •

Are: Education: • Completion of BSN or higher nursing degree
byrequired) • Baccalaureate in nursing and/or Board certification
(preferred) Licensure/Certification: • Current NH licensure as a
Registered Nurse • Must obtain within 90 days of hire: - Basic Life
Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - IV Therapy -
Procedural Sedation and Analgesia - Central Line Management - Basic
Rhythm Interpretation Experience: • 2–4 years in ICU/CCU or
Emergency Services (preferred) Skills & Abilities: • Excellent
verbal and written communication • Ability to multitask and
prioritize • Provide care for vascular access and interventional
