Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med-surg
Adult, Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7p-7a Hours per Shift:
12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, specifically
in PCU/Stepdown with tele experience License: Valid RN license
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: NIHSS recommended
Description: The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the
patient care team. The RN is responsible for the delivery of direct
and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all
assigned areas. The RN will assess patients upon admission using
appropriate interview techniques to obtain past medical history,
current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other
diagnostic tests. The RN will be involved in the planning and
implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a
physician. All positions require every other weekend. All RNs are
required to wear navy blue scrubs. Holiday availability is
required. The RN must have excellent mathematical and analytical
skills. The RN must possess excellent written, verbal, and
interpersonal communication skills.
