Job Description WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a local contract nursing job in Newton, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Nurse for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Newton, MA. Job Function: /n - Day Shift or Night Shift. /n - 4x10. /n - Provides post-operative nursing care in a compassionate and individualized manner, following directions from the anesthesiologist and/or attending physician. /n /n - Documents all nursing activities and completes a nursing discharge note when the anesthesiologist indicates the patient is ready for transfer to the progressive recovery room. /n /n - Ensures all necessary equipment and supplies are stocked and readily available. /n /n - Monitors and records the patient’s vital signs and level of consciousness according to nursing protocols. /n /n - Assists the anesthesiologist or attending physician as needed. /n /n /n Job Requirements: /n - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). /n /n - Current RN license for the state of Massachusetts. /n /n - 2 years of acute PACU nursing experience required. /n /n - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required. /n /n /n Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
