Job Description:

Overview: We are currently seeking a full-time LNA (Transportation Aide) to join our team. The LNA (Transportation Aide) will be responsible to balance tasks and priorities of a Transportation Aide and perform LNA responsibilities. As a transportation aide, safely transport residents to and from designated trips. As an LNA perform simple nursing tasks under the supervision of an LPN or RN. Hourly pay with paid meal breaks and discounted food options.

Responsibilities:
Provide patient care under supervision as assigned.
Serve meals, feed those patients who require it and assist patients in the dining room.
Provide fluids and nourishment for the residents.
Maintain a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment for the residents, with special consideration to cleanliness, ventilation, lighting, repairs, and furniture arrangement.
Answer resident's call for assistance promptly.
Report to the supervising nurse immediately if the resident complains, has a change in condition, or whenever other special needs arise.
Provide special services for residents not needing professional skills.
Perform specific functions as are taught by professional personnel in accordance with community policies.
Carry out housekeeping functions on the unit that are not specifically assigned to the Housekeeping Department.
Carry out technical duties and procedures as assigned if she/he has satisfactorily completed an in-service program on such.
Maintain good relationships with residents, families, guest and public in general.
Transports resident to and from inpatient and outpatient programs and to and from appropriate medical facilities and/or other activities as needed in a safe manner.
Accountable for resident's care while away from the facility.
To supervise and assess resident function to safely transfer / ambulate and identify and report any condition requiring management or clinical attention during the transport.
Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
Responsible for attendance at annual in-service programs with regards to body mechanics, right-to-know laws and fire and safety procedures.
Assume all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
This position will have at least 8 years of schooling and have attained the legal age of employment in the State.
LNA must have satisfactorily completed a certification and have a valid and unencumbered LNA license in the State of New Hampshire.
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in good standing.
Required to be on your feet for extended periods of time including physical activity that includes walking, bending, kneeling, twisting up to 4-6 hours per day.
Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
