Job Description:
Designs applications, using Java, Python, Javascript, and SQL.
Manages data and databases, using Oracle, Salesforce.com, AWS,
Postgres, Docker, and Kubernetes. Uses business knowledge to
translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business
solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications
and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends
changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and
strategies to development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Prepares design artifacts and implements solutions. Monitors industry trends and directions. Develops technical architecture designs. Translates business needs into technology solutions. Applies general integration patterns and implementation
considerations to a variety of technologies. Assists the technology organization with technical design and
consultation services. Articulates architecture solution options to product owners and
architecture leadership. Confers with systems analysts and software engineers/developers
on systems design. Obtains information on project limitations, capabilities,
performance requirements, and interfaces. Develops and oversees software system testing and validation
procedures, programming, and documentation. Leads teams through design sessions to establish optimal design
decisions. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
solutioning, designing, architecting, and building scalable and
resilient software solutions according to DevOps practices. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience solutioning, designing,
architecting, and building scalable and resilient software
solutions according to DevOps practices. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) solutioning, designing,
architecting, and building scalable and resilient software
solutions according to DevOps practices using Java, Python, Spring
Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon Web Services (AWS);
modernizing solutions and creating Cloud-based, micro-services, and
service-oriented architectures built on Docker, Kubernetes, and
Amazon Elastic container service for Kubernetes (EKS) and Container
as a Service (CaaS) for online, marketing, and sales applications
using Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure services. DE providing technical leadership and hands on guidance to Agile
teams in preparing design artifacts and implementation of
solutions; and contributing to the development of a digital
architecture blueprint by monitoring industry, enterprise, and
technology trends and directions. DE providing strategic direction on observability and
application resiliency, using Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, and open
telemetry standards. DE prototyping and building infrastructure frameworks, highly
scalable Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
solutions, and pipelines, using Jenkins, CloudFormation, Git, and
Artifactory; performing version control using Git; performing issue
tracking using Jira; and performing test automation to enable
enterprise Agile application teams to roll out application
