Job Description:

Performs Web application software development, using Agile methodologies, AngularJS, Java/J2EE, XML, Spring frameworks, Tomcat, Apache, WebSphere, JBoss, and Jenkins. Performs Web services integration, using SOAP and REST APIs. Designs, develops, integrates, and maintains critical User Interface (UI) applications, backend subsystems, and financial tools. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions for ongoing development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Implements application fine-tuning to resolve performance issues.

Maintains document repository systems.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Remediates application security findings.

Provides application support through defect analysis and resolution.

Performs impact analysis of technology obsolescence.

Assesses new software technologies.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing, developing, and implementing Java-based Web and batch applications for financial transaction processing.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience designing, developing, and implementing Java-based Web and batch applications for financial transaction processing.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing rich internet content -- responsive and adaptive Web design -- using Angular JS, JavaScript 1.6, HTML, DOJO, CSS, jQuery, Node.js, HDIV, and JSON; and building online transaction processing financial platforms for workflow management systems, using Eclipse, Veracode, Selenium, and Sonar.

DE developing customer facing enterprise Web applications using server-side technologies -- Java 8, PL/SQL, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud, Spring JDBC, Hibernate, Struts 1.2 & 2.0, iBatis, SOAP 1.1 & 1.2, RESTful Web services, Shell Scripting, Event-Driven Notifications, and MQ Integrations; and debugging stored procedures within an Oracle environment.

DE designing Web-based transaction processing applications according to Agile/SCRUM methodologies within an onshore/offshore development team; performing daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demo/retrospective meetings with program stakeholders using JIRA; and building product guides, using Confluence and MURAL.

DE delivering batch application design and development, using JBoss and XML; and performing Java multi-threaded application development using DevOps tools -- GIT/Stash, Maven, Jenkins, Concourse, Rancher, uDeploy, Splunk, and Datadog.
