Job Description:
E.L. Harvey & Sons in Westborough is looking for an Office
Manager to join the team in Fitchburg, MADUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages daily administrative operations of a department
including establishing work priorities; assists in resolving
problems related to the day-to-day operations of the unit.
- Reviews, reconciles, and evaluates monthly ledgers, budgets,
and financial reporting system reports, assists with fiscal
planning, development, and management of annual budgets.
- Plans, develops, and coordinates the execution of program
policy, procedures, and operations; monitors compliance with
district policies, procedures, regulations, and appropriate
laws.
- Coordinates and maintains, and/or processes payroll time
sheets, sick and annual leave documents, travel reimbursements,
purchasing documents, and/or employment documents for faculty,
staff, and students.
- As appropriate to the individual position, provides and/or
oversees the provision of administrative assistance and support to
the district manager, to include problem solving, project planning
and management, fiscal management, day-to-day office coordination,
and secretarial services.
- Assists with the development and implementation of reporting
procedures; oversee maintenance of department records and/or
inventories.
- Oversees and provides personal computer functions such as
scheduled and special reports, correspondence, and database
management.
- Coordinates department programs, seminars, workshops, travel
arrangements, special projects, and/or events; may coordinate
program/project development and planning.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.MINIMUM
JOB REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or GED; directly related
management expertise in administration, gained through either 2
years of equivalent-level work experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control
procedures.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Knowledge of management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and
inventory control.
- Program planning and implementation skills.
- Ability to analyze, develop, establish, and maintain efficient
office workflow and administrative processes.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare
reports.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software
applications.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, methods, and techniques in area
of specialty.
