Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking an Operational Analyst
Capability Group Manager to lead a team developing next generation
capabilities for tomorrow s advanced aircraft. Our analysts are
members of cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams focused on
developing cost-effective systems that protect our Warfighters.
Capabilities involve assessment of integrated Electronic Warfare
(EW) systems including Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic
Protection (EP) and Electronic Support (ES) for RF sensing,
detection, identification, geolocation, and jamming; infrared (IR)
imaging, guidance, survivability and targeting; C4ISR for
actionable intelligence including SIGINT, EO/IR, Multi-INT, and
hyperspectral solutions; and information technologies including
fusion and dynamic mission battle management.The qualified leader
will provide management and supervisory leadership and mentoring to
the ops analysis group to ensure flawless execution, collaborate
with design teams assessing threats, developing and quantifying
operational level systems requirements, developing operational
systems concepts, and assessing mission effectiveness in simulated
environments. The manager will direct operational analysis studies
using a wide variety of DoD, existing and BAE-developed modeling
and simulation tools.Duties and Responsibilities may include:
- Hire, train and grow a team of operational analysts in all
aspects of mission and engagement analysis including communication
and presentation of results to all levels of the organization and
DoD decision makers
- Provide expertise in EW analysis methods using both internally
as well as government-developed tools
- Ensure implementation of analyses at the appropriate level of
fidelity to answer analytic questions and extract meaningful
Measures of Effectiveness and Measures of Performance that resonate
with warfighters and provide design teams insight into translating
technology into effective systems
- Manage infrastructure to support OA needs including licensing
of COTS tools, government agreements, and security constructs
- Oversee mission simulation using AFSIM, Suppressor, BRAWLER,
and/or STK to determine mission effectiveness
- Oversee engagement simulation using TMAP, ESAMS, MATLAB,
Simulink and other tools
- Manage modeling and simulation studies that optimize mission
performance for weapon systems across the air, land, sea, space,
and cyber domains
- Develop and apply advanced software and systems methods,
theories, and research techniques in the investigation, analysis
and solution of complex and advanced technical problems.
- Use, develop, and modifying tools to support:
- Data analysis of simulation or flight test results
- Requirements analysis
- Visualization of battlespace, missions and engagements to
provide intuition understanding of system and system-of-systems

Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Operations
Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer
Science
- The candidate will have critical thinking skills that will be
exercised across multiple levels of detail.
- The candidate should enjoy problem solving and have the ability
to produce concrete results despite significant ambiguities in the
problem space.
- The candidate must be able to multi-task across many
simultaneous studies and efforts in order to effectively support
the needs of the business areas and product lines within the
Electronic Systems sector
- The candidate must be able to serve as a point of contact and
effectively interface with other OA organizations within DoD
- Experience developing and using analysis tools such as MATLAB,
Python, C/C , or similar tools is required.
- Experience using tools such as AFSIM, Suppressor, JIMM,
BRAWLER, STK, TMAP, ESAMS, EADSIM, or EWIR.Preferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Expertise in EW
- Experienced and recognized in the DoD OA community
- Experienced with collaborative M&S environments
- Knowledge of MBSE and mission simulation driven by MBSE
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and DevSecOps pipeline driven by mission
simulation-enabled test environments
- Experience with tools, infrastructure and security constraints
