The Company has enjoyed being part of the Ayer community for more than 26 years. we have created a new role of Training and Development Manager to support our rapid growth.The Training and Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing all of the company wide training and development of employees. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position will determine thru a training needs analysist the training that should take place for new hires as well as existing staff. This position will decide on the correct training platform to use and creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate and enhance performance.

Responsibilities:

Develops learning strategies for ongoing employee development in all functional areas of the business.
Partners with leadership staff to design and deliver training programs for both exempt and non-exempt staff
Conducts needs analysis to determine program scope.
Collaborates with technical advisors to design and determine technical training needed in our plant operations
Writes standard operating procedures and with step by step instructional material.
Enhances methods for identifying organization and individual training and development needs
Aligns all training programs to the foundational competency model designed for each position.

Essential Knowledge and Required skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to research and evaluate different training platforms
Ability to design and implement effective training


Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in Education or Human Resources field
Three to Five years experience in a Training and Development role or higher education
Experience with Learning Platforms and delivering high impact training
Computer proficient- 360-microsoft office, PowerPoint
Presentation Skills
