Come join us and accelerate your career!We are seeking a talented Chief Engineer with experience managing systems engineering integration and test (SEIT) projects. This role requires someone comfortable working with minimal oversight in a cutting edge, fast paced, multi-discipline engineering environment. The successful candidate has a strong technical background with experience developing battlespace CONOPS, mission-oriented solutions, and has demonstrated integration experience with a diverse range of systems, ideally Radar, EW, SIGINT, and COMMS. The candidate will work with software and hardware systems team to define interfaces, communicate with suppliers, customers, other partner sites, and perform overall integration. The candidate will also support lab and field exercises. The candidate must be able to work with limited supervision, contribute innovative ideas to improve product capabilities, and lead SEIT efforts.Here is what you bring to the table:

  • Ability to lead a technical group independently
  • U.S. Secret security clearance is strongly preferred (must be willing and eligible to obtain a clearance otherwise)
  • 12+ years of experience with 5+ years of EW system experience
  • RF and digital hardware knowledge
  • Able to understand software coding languages such as C, C++, Linux, and/or Python script
  • Task oriented, willing to take initiative and learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Defense Industry experience a plus
  • Must be able to travel as needed (mostly local travel to customer locations, approx. 20%) This is what your day to day will look like:
    • Work with system architects to develop product architectures
    • Attend engineering, customer, and business meetings
    • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
    • Lead and direct the work of others as assigned
    • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
    • Participate in preparation of proposals
    • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
    • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services
    • Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for SEIT effort performance
    • Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems
    • Research, collect, and report information on the capabilities of company products and competing equipment
    • Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems. Redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers. May act as technical liaison to the sales team in assisting them to qualify opportunities
    • Oversee project deliverables to customers and warfighters
    • Assist with system integration, verification and validation, and effectiveness analysis
    • Develop systems requirements and test procedures
    • Design, develop, integrate, and test major features of hardware and software products developed by Spear Research while using the latest COTS, industry, and government technology Education:
      • Minimum requirement: BS in EE, CS, or relevant discipline
