Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A licensed Special Education Teacher is needed to
provide instructional leadership and student support within a
Middle School LINKS program focused on students with significant
support needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This
full-time contract position, available ASAP through the end of the
school year with potential extension, offers an opportunity to work
closely with a dedicated team in a structured classroom environment
serving six students. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the teacher
of record for the LINKS program, implementing individualized
education plans (IEPs) and delivering targeted instruction. -
Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and 1:1 aides to
address students educational and behavioral needs. - Provide
support for students with sensory processing challenges and
self-injurious behaviors (SIB). - Assist students with toileting
and other personal care needs to ensure a supportive learning
environment. - Maintain punctuality, communicate absences
appropriately, and comply with all required background and drug
screenings. Qualifications and Experience: - Valid Massachusetts
Special Education teaching license. - Experience working with
students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). - Proven
ability to support sensory needs and manage self-injurious
behaviors. - Comfort and proficiency in providing toileting
support. - Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary
team to enhance student success. - Reliable transportation and
commitment to attendance. Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Middle School setting Duration: Contract position through the
