Job Description:
Duties: Serve as a member of the Derivatives Center of
Excellence (DCoE) to consolidate derivative support functions for asset management
entities. Establish streamlined and efficient derivatives processing
capabilities. Work with IT partners to implement technology solutions that
improve ability to process derivative instruments long term. Primary Responsibilities: • Participate in core processing and servicing projects,
including: Trade Capture, Trade Confirmation/Affirmations, Settlements,
Pricing, Regulatory, and Financial Reporting, and new derivative product
on-boarding for Over-the-counter (OTC) bilateral, OTC cleared, and exchange
traded derivative financial instruments. • Assist with defining the processes and implementing
end-to-end derivative projects, including liaising with trading desks,
brokers, dealers, custodians, exchanges, clearing houses, regulators, and
data providers (Bloomberg and Reuters). • Collaborate with business sponsors and partners across
multiple business lines to integrate new technologies in support of
Fidelity’s technical infrastructure for derivative processing. • Support the Project Management Office and strategic
derivatives program and provide updates to senior management. • Assist with establishing the operating model and
implementation plan. • Manage the vendor and consultant relationships related to
the strategic derivatives program. • Test the phasing and transition plan for the derivatives
technology program. • Provide expert guidance, updates, and training opportunities
to DCoE operations teams. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration, Finance, or a closely
related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6)
years of experience designing and implementing end to end solutions for
trading Over- the-counter (OTC) and exchange traded derivatives, including
multi asset class – equity, fixed income, forex, and commodity; or,
alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field and
four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of
experience designing and implementing end to end solutions for trading
Over-the- counter (OTC) and exchange traded derivatives, including multi
asset class – equity, fixed income, forex, and commodity. Candidate must
also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) supporting and managing asset
management front office, middle office, and back office functions:
pre-trade validations, trade capture, trade enrichment (using Bloomberg
and Reuters), trade matching (using DTCC tool), trade confirmations (using DS
Match or MarkitWire tools), SWIFT messaging, and clearing and settlements
of transactions; DE configuring and processing derivative trades on
Murex and Calypso; setting up margins, haircuts, trading, exposure limits,
and eligible collateral; managing credit and operational risk; and
designing and creating reports in Financial Product Markup Language
(FpML); DE interpreting and implementing derivative regulations -- Dodd
Frank Act (DFA) and European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR)
regulations for: executing OTC Swaps on Swap Execution Facility (SEF), clearing
by Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), and reporting to Swap
Data Repository (SDR), according to CFTC, SEC, and ESMA regulators;
DE gathering business requirements; creating business and functional
requirements documents using Confluence tool; conducting project planning and
release management in Project and Portfolio Management Center (PPMC)
tool; implementing projects according to Agile methodologies; managing
the requirements using JIRA tool; and participating in brain
storming, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing
