Job Description:

Performs Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and testing, using Java/J2EE, HTML, and JavaScript for applications that enable clients to borrow or lend cash or securities against collateral. Conducts test automation, using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks, Cucumber, and jBehave. Develops and maintains automation code for regression testing in an Agile project delivery environment. Assists with planning, designing, and executing testing within a complex project.

Primary Responsibilities:

Creates test plans, data, procedures, and manual and/or automated scripts.

Participates in formal reviews of application designs, business, and functional requirements.

Participates in code reviews.

Writes complete and accurate reports on software problems.

Identifies and suggests quality process improvements focused on defect prevention.

Creates systems and business relevant test cases.

Ensures test environment reflects business requirements for test execution.

Assists in development of in-house test tools.

Executes manual and/or automated test scripts for most complex projects.

Works with project team to establish testing entrance and exit criteria.

Ensures execution of project regression test tasks.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works directly with the user community for project definition.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Recommends strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes.

Analyzes and reports test status and results.

Identifies test issues and reports to project manager and business.

Defines regression tests, and production verification and validation for future projects.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing and testing electronic application trading platforms, using Java/J2EE, Angular, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience developing and testing electronic application trading platforms, using Java/J2EE, Angular, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing and testing FIX-based trading applications on Linux and windows platforms, using Java and JavaScript.

DE performing test automation and version control, and implementing Continuous Integration (CI) testing practices, using Git Stash, UDeploy, and Jenkins.

DE testing and developing test automation for mainframe systems, using Jagacy APIs for Java and BDD frameworks -- Cucumber or jBehave.

DE performing Test Driven Development (TDD) using testing frameworks -- Gherkins, Cucumber, Selenium, and Serenity.
